FAST has received contributions, both in the form of source code and consultations, from various individuals since the concept began in 2002 and their contribution has been fundamental to the success of the project and the value to the alternative energy community:
FAST-FC Developer
Kunal's research has been focused on the development of cleaner energy conversion and storage (ECS) technologies (Fuel Cells, Electrolyzers, Batteries and Capacitors). Currently, Kunal's research activities are focused on both computational modelling and experimental characterization of ECS devices.
FAST Simulations is lead by David B. Harvey, Dr. J. Pharoah, and Dr. K. Karan and developed by a multi-disciplinary team of researchers
FAST-FC Developer
Jon has been involved in the develop-ment of open-source Computational Fluid Dynamics codes with a focus on the transport processes for fuel cells (PEMFCs and SOFCs).
Currently, Jon's research at Queen's is focused on the area of fuel cells and membrane separation/water purification.
Lead Developer
David established FAST and FAST-FC based on his doctorate work at Queen's University supported by the U.S. Department of Energy and Ballard Power Systems. David continues work in the area of alternative energy and leads the FAST-FC development team.
